Guys, I need some constructive input, today I have stripped out the back of the Fozzie looking for places to mount my horns. I have taken a few pics to help this story out. Some people have seen my past two previous installs
1st one
2nd one
My problem now is both past installs were seperated from myself in the cab/car The MR2 had an engine between us and the truck had the cab seperating us.
Firstly, my aim is to have the horns facing the floor, however this means the bodys of the horns will be inside the car. AM I GOING TO GET DEAFENED??? the main part of the trumpets will be under the car, but how much noise am I going to here inside the car?
Or all in a line…???
I would ideally like the horns on show.
The 2nd option would be to mount them in the spare wheel space, again drilling through the body work.
Do you think this would work? lol
This is the only space under the bonnet…
Any thoughts would be appreciated on the internal sound issues, thanks.
Yes mate thats what I’m thinking, but I’m a little worried about the noise issues inside the car, I will have some sound proofing around the horns where they go through the floor.
Cut out the spot for the tire, mount the horns on plexi, then fasten the plexi to the inside of the trunk. Horns will be outside the car (upside down) and the tank and compressor inside.
you could always run it with hard lines… I wanted to run my compr that way but never really got around to it… maybe someone would have some imput as to what type of line I could run. Is any of it dot approved?
I’ve started the install now & have settled on the Horn layout & I’ve had the angle grinder out in the spare wheel space ;);););););)
Twisty, mate if I had the truck still, I would consider running Hard lines like the pic above (awesome), but, I’m going for the show look, so all lines will be hidden hopefully.
I need my tank now so I can get a better idea in my head:D
