hi everyone. now that i got these k3’s im completely paranoid about them getting stolen. does anyone know of any place online that sells tamper-proof bolts the same size as the ones on nathan airchimes???
ebay?
i looked on there already. unless im just mentally challenged at searching on ebay, they dont have any.
i know this might now be the easiest way but buy a car alarm? like this one viper.com its will go off if anyone opens the hood or shakes you car. and if they try to jack it up it goes off. does everything up to one mile away it will let me know. but thats just what i would do lol i love my alarm!
x2 on a good alarm… i got a proximity sensor on mine so if someone gets so close to look in the window the alarm beeps to warn them and it pages me on the 2 way remote up to 3000ft.
i have zip ties on my horns nothing more and my alarm with a proximity sensor
tamper proof bolts +
good alarm +
:mad:Remington 870 tactical shotgun:mad: = no worrying about thieves!
Yeah, I don’t have a viper alarm but I’ve looked into alarms and they’re pretty nice. Also expensive though.
Depending on where you live I’d look at getting a shotgun. You might be lucky enough for open carry too. If I were you I’d look into it.
shot gun wont help you when your out and about…
Thats why you have the bolts and alarm to fall back on!
Or just don’t advertise that they are under your vehicle lol
Yeah honda, I agree. I don’t really worry about my car because no one expects them on my car. For an SUV though, it might be a little riskier. Don’t honk by your house, don’t honk right before you park somewhere, and be sure people don’t follow you after you honk. If you follow that, you should be good.
thats 1000000% right and never honk around your house
Here ya go. Have to Keep in mind some tamper proof bolts will break when tried to take off.

try fastenal they sell tons of fasteners
Good idea. I forgot about them.
I was thinking bout this today… when i worked at home depot , we had to “spiderband” all our power tool combo kits of X amount price… Anyways, if someone cut the band, it had a wire inside of it which went to a small yet powerfull screeching siren… Wonder how one would go about hooking one up to an alarm so if the wire was cut or broken, it would go off…
I bolted mine on and burned a healthy tack from the nut to the bolt with my mig. If they need to come off a cutoff disk will do the trick.
okay. so does anyone know the dimensions of the bolts on the k3’s because I have no clue how to measure pitch or any of that (i just started my first year of automotive college so I will know soon.)
when I feel like it, I honk when I arrive at my house. but today, just when I was nearing my parking spot in our compound, the kids playing outside stopped playing, moved to the side of the road and covered their ears. I didn’t honk, parked then went inside.
