Tough Choice

Ok here’s the scenario: Your given $1,500 to buy a set of horns that you have to ****ing honk for the rest of your life!!! What is your set-up?

see sig.

kk lol good quick choice. BTW where did u mount your K5’s?? Im thinking of putting them where the spare is at now.

^ Exactly. I have the tank, compressor, and horns mounted there. View my profile for some pictures.

Damn thats a nice set-up. If you were able to get those K5HA’s under there i should be able to fit the K5LA’s. I also want to get one of those manual train horn valves but here in Miami with so many stupid drivers i dont think i would be able to reach down and pull it and stay on the road.

i love my k5la and 12 gallons lol

You will be happy with them for sure!

Negative. Mine is just below and to the right of my right knee … it’s farther to reach the radio than it is to grab the “go handle”. Some 2x2 angle from Home Depot and a couple nuts, bolts and washers later … bingo.

Damn thats sweet, so you just flip the switch and pull the handle back im guessing right?

Nope, the manual valve is on as long as I’ve got air in the tank.

The button next to the digi-gauge is for a tank dump valve to purge water from the bottom of the tank.

The real “go switch” is where the switch would be for the power adjustable pedals, if I had that option:

It’s a typical Radio Shack switch, something I added to my kit. The little light comes on when the switch is on, and off when I turn it off. It’s tied into “key on” power so I don’t have to worry about draining my batteries.

I know the manual valve is sweet but the next best thing would be this as a horn button http://www.trucknvans.com/ProductDet…ctCode=PL-SW19

That’s cool, I’ll give you that … but there’s no control like you get from the manual valve.

Thats true because you get the authentic locomotive action but down here in Miami theres nowhere to do runbys or even hold hold the button down so long without having cops on your oven. Im just looking for something thats easy to reach and quick. That trigger would be perfect because im already going to have it in my hand.

someone else had the same for a button and also they bought a flash light holder and mounted in their vehicle and that cord switch fit perfectly inside…the setup looked really good…
even im stll considering goin to it
