that one thing that pisses me off is when you parked your vehicle in a parking lot and come back to find someone leaning on it. well i always keep my explorer spotless just because i enjoy it and if anyone even touches it i get angry so thats another reason i wired the horns into the alarm system. im still in high school so theres always ppl leaning on it and i always blast em. #1 rule about cars: never touch another persons car unless you have permission.

But can you arm the system silently or will it always give a little honk when you arm and disarm?

Like if you lock the door then close it, does the alarm silently arm itself?

thats the only drawback with this stock security system. i have to hit the lock button twice in order to arm the system. push button once: locks all doors, push button again: locks all doors, honks horn, flashes all lights, arms alarm system. its only a quick blip of the horn when i arm it, so the only thing its gonna really do is turn some heads but not scare anyone.

Hmm, most OEM systems can be programmed for silent arming :cool:

Might wanna check your owner’s manual for programming instructions :slight_smile:

When i put my system in i was also still in high school, I loved every single time someone touched my truck. It is amazing, But it is time i actually buy a real alarm system and hook them up to that.
