I’ve got a nathan k6lla horn set (made up from a set of K3’s plus each of the other horns individually purchased). I’m told by hornblasters.com and realtrain horns.net that I can use two K3 manifolds and have them connected to x1 solenoid.
Firstly can someone explain what’s going to need to be done for this to work?
Secondly could I have the k3 manifolds connected each to their own solenoid (both connected to the same tank, so as to provide maximum CFM/airflow to each manifold) which is then activated by a single toggle switch/push button???
Either way would work. You’re right though, the 2 valve setup would better feed 2 x K3s…especially if you’re using 1/2" OD tubing with push-to-connect fittings. It’s no problem to wire the 2 solenoids to the same switch.
If you go with a single valve, you’ll have to connect the 2 manifolds with piping and put a tee in the middle.
Thanks. Yer I figured that I may as well feed each nathan manifold with as much air as possible. Im figuring on ensuring that there are an even spread of larger and smaller size horns on each manifold as I assume larger horns equal more air requirements.
