I’m new to all this train horn deal but looking to get some . I found a 2 400c compressors with a 12 gallon tank , hoses and valves , with a 30109 setup . The guy was asking $1,000 but got him down to $850 . It’s all hooked up to make sure everything if functional . My question is , does this sound like a good deal or no ? Any info appreciated . Thanks

If it’s a 5 chime on a manifold that sounds like a decent deal depending on the condition of everything.
It’s a 3 horn setup .
Well you can usually find a used K3 for about $450.
So you can price out dual 400s, tank, pressure switch, and valve to see how much you’re saving.

If the compressors are good and the horn is in good shape offer 750 or so. Tell him for a extra 200 you can get all NEW stuff.
The less he’ll take is $800 .

We sell the K3LA horn by itself for $1,049.00. Of course we are the only authorized dealer to sell brand new. The rest out there are refurbished or used. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me if everything is in working order.

There won’t be any shipping . It’s a local guy . I offered 750 but the least he’ll take is 800 .
So you would save around 300 assuming he has all fittings & tubing complete.
It’s up to you. Your other option is a horn for 450 from Ebay and all new components from hornblasters for about 650. You could save a little by dropping to 5 gallons and a single compressor. But then again, you’ll pay a little shipping.
