using my actual horn to actuate the train horns

I had my train horns installed and wanted to have a switch to have off to use my regular horn on my wheel and then be able to switch it on to use my train horns through the horn on my wheel. Well they couldnt do it because negative this and positive that…blah blah etc…how can i get it to work that way? Do i need to buy something else? I have a 2001 gmc sierra 1500. He said the switch i got from hornblasters was this but my truck was that. wasnt sure exactly what he said does anyone know what he said or meant? Or how to switch it?

You tap into your horn wire with a switch. Position “A” goes to the stock horn, Position “B” goes to the train horn electric valve.

HB has these, or you can stop by your local Radio Shack.

Heck yeah! Thanks!

Wire in a Relay to power the Valve Selenoid. Run fused power to the input of the relay coil and to supply the selenoid. Ground of relay coil to a single pole dual throw switch. Common terminal of the switch to the horn button on steering wheel. Third teminal to the stock horn wire. The Output of the Relay goes to the Valve.

I wired mine with a Dual Pole, Dual Throw switch that is hidden. The Extra Pole runs to a second relay that allows power to the Shockers and Viair Compressor.

Use a relay, easy peasy:)
