hi, new to forum, glad to be here and got a problem and hope ya’ll can help.
i have a ford kit for air horns that include the horns tank, and a compressor that taps into a vacuum hose to work, i cant seem to locate a suitable vacuum hose on my 99 gmc sierra with v8 engine, anyone familiar enough with the sierra to point out the correct place to put the T connector?
thanks in advance for your help

Hey, welcome.
I can’t figure why you would need a vacuum line, but there should be one going to the brake booster.
What kind of compressor & tank is it?
this is a ford kit is-4172-m , the compressor is powered by vacuum in one outlet and has high output on the other end, i did find out the horns are made by hadley, the tank is a around a gallon. the diagram shows a tee fitting being placed on a vacuum hose going into the engine and has a reference note-splice into existing vacuum hose ewhen unused nipple on engine fitting is not available. note do not cut into vacuum hose to brake booster assembly or to any emmission control vacuum hose- now you see why i’m scratching my head? lol
ok, i guess i’m released from moderation, i have a air horn kit that was put out by ford, it is a hadley horn set with a vacuum driven pump for driving the horns, the vacuum pump is placed inline with a “t” connector, i am having a hard time figuring what is what under the hood.
I did a quick google search & there isn’t a lot on these things.
But basically you’re looking for a hose coming off of the intake manifold.
Some cars/trucks have a vacuum tree. Guess I can’t help much.
actually that pointed me in the direction to look and helps alot, one day i will graduate to train horns but right now these’ll have to do, i do have a reon train horn i am gonna put inline with these for the low note prolly with a separate compressor. thanks for your help
