hey, how long should a new viair 380c fill a 2.5 gallon tank mine from 90 to 150 takes like 5 min that seams long time what could be wrong?
any noises its making?
Is their anything weird going on with it? What ga. wire are you using?
Have you cleaned the connections to your battery and how old is the battery? Does your charging system produce enough current to keep from deep cycling your battery? Is it a deep cycle battery?
380C filling a 2.5 gallon tank:
0 To 145 PSI 3 Min. 48 Sec.
0 To 200 PSI 6 Min. 10 Sec.
110 To 145 PSI 1 Min. 12 Sec.
165 To 200 PSI 1 Min. 40 Sec.
might be a dumb question but is the plug out of the air inlet side , and is there a filter in there?
I do recall a picture of someone putting a pressure sensor in that inlet. Same size too. lol. brizz has a epic fail picture of it.
i bet this could be solution
lmfao
i have a diesel truck plenty of amps there 2 batterys and big alternater i am an electrician ran 4 gauge welding cable plug is out i am not an idiot and it seems to be running a little louder then when i first got it still less than a month old
no one is saying your an idiot… were trying to HELP you and it is something that some times people overlook…
could the check valve be getting stuck while running not letting all the air to pass into the tank
If that’s the case, it might explain why the compressor sounds louder, because it’s working harder.
Your system is still under warranty, right?
yea i got it from hornblasters
well it was my check valve i took it off the tank and it was full of water took it off blew it off with big compressor and all is good now thanks for all your help
I’m glad you found it.
should the valve be full of water or is this normal
Its definitely not normal…
Where is the valve in relation to the lowest part of the tank? Below? Above?
I’ll bet its below, and you haven’t drained your tank in awhile…
valve is in center inlet of tank no water it was only hooked up for a week
