ive had a couple different viair comps never had a problem with them but ive only owned them for about a year has anyone had viair comps for a long time like years. im only asking because im going to be buying a k5la kit that can either come with two viair comps or two sv comps ive never heard of sv comps but they come with a lifetime warranty as apposed to viairs 1 year
same price , dual 444 viairs(1 year warranty) vs dual 380sv compressors(lifetime warranty)
i love my viair compressors… those things are built great!!! i beat the piss out of my compressors and they are still running strong, 3years+ running them… in winter with sub 0 temps to hot oven summer with over 100 degree weather… they kick on every time… hope this helps ya…
Read the warranty to find out what “lifetime” means. I’ve found it means alot of things, including that there is a warranty for the lifetime of the compressor and once it becomes a discontinued model you don’t have a warranty anymore.
And asking in Viair compressors are good is like asking if a fat kid loves cake.
Lifetime can also mean the intended usage term for the product regardless of it being discontinued or not. (e.g a length of time, amount of mileage, service hours, charges, what have you)
I’ve seen this in a few cases and the warranty was actually for one year… from what I’m gathering this is pretty typical, but you have to love subtle deception.
I talked tl the company owner and he explained how full replacements are exchanged as long as there is no apparent abuse to the compressor. I’m sure it’s just as strict as any warranty.
Has anyone tries using viairs warranty. I know they make good comps. And I’m not knocking them at all. I’m just trying to be smart about buying dual comps. I was tole the lifetime was not a bull lifetime warranty
You were told their life time warranty wasnt bull… everyone on here backs viair and gives nothing buy good reviews from them… what else do u need to know? their great compressors and great company… u prolly will never even need to use the warranty… i can gurantee if ur compressors dont work its prolly ur setup and not the compressors… they are built to last and thats what they do. either buy em and give them a shot for ur self so u can see how everyone was right or make ur own decision and buy from someone else who no one uses…
I know they’re good I’ve owned several. I’m just asking opinions On if they hold up. I’ve never used the same one for more than a year And I thinknita reasonable to take a second look at a company offering a lifetime warranty Considering the thousands I’m spending on a loud horn lol
the company is great! but i would recommend bigger tank and bigger compressors… a k5la uses alot of air!! if u want to be truely happy… the bigger u go the better u will be… if u have lots of money… get the biggest tank u can fit and an EDC… thats what i would do if i had the cash…
