Why do you guys have it so that the pressure switch goes to the relay versus the pressure switch being inline with the positive wire for the compressor itself? It says the switch is rated for 20 amps and on the airsource kits they are installed that way. I’m just curious.

Its done that way to keep as much voltage away from the pressure switch as possible. It is true that the pressure switch is rated for a certain max amperage, but over time - voltage spikes can damage a pressure switch as well. This method allows the pressure switch to survive for as long as possible.
