so im trying to put together a train horn vid. i have a flip camera but the editing software that comes with it totally sucks. all i really are two features: ability to cut/trim clips and ability to put headings/titles over a clip (not in a separate clip with a colored background).
is there any free software i can download online that can do this? im using a windows xp

What about Windows built in Movie Maker … it should be part of your Windows install, and won’t cost you a thing.
do you loose quality at all when you convert? cuz im using an HD flip cam
my movie maker didnt like HD… 
Pentacle editing software is what he uses.
i use sony vegas pro 9.0c and its free if you know where to look
no ive never lost quality when i convert… what i love is i can also convert bad quality videos to better quality videos, i can rip the sounds off a video if i want too… its just great all around… has more then what i ask for…
How about software that has full audio splicing abilities?

I’ll join in on a video question… I have a kodak zx1 hd cam and it takes excellent video! but the sound level is extremely low on it… Any software for making it louder but still keep the quality? thanx
