Guy’s, how often should one empty out any water collected in one’s tank? I just stripped down my old 3litre tank and there woz about a table spoon of rusty water In it, after 3years of use.
i empty mine once every two weeks
i never empty mine but my tank is aluminum
Whenever I remember. The more The compressor is on, the more I tend to empty it. at least once a month

Use the air that’s already in the tank.

?? i’d like an answer to that too. why do they even make tanks w/o drains in them.
i have a 5 gal 4 port tank. it has no drain at the bottom. so i guess once a month or so i have to unmount it and tilt it up and drain the water? if so my tank will be for sale soon.
would it be posible to drill a 1/8th" hole in the bottom of the tank and tap/seal it? seems unlikely cause i doubt the metal if very thick. but i dont want to weld on it cause my tank is chrome…
i have access to a full machine shop. but my main wory is the chrome blueing or chipping. i guess if all else fails i can just powdercoat it.
