im not worried about the water being dirty lol im going to stay away from that fender if anyone that knows about it is in the truck and im a d*ck so it dosent matter
and the wiper idea is cool but a want a huge mist to pour out instead of a small stream
im so exited about this
Cool idea. Make sure to hook the solenoid to your alarm remote so you can shoot water by remote from a distance. Be pretty funny to do that while you are inside a restaurant and can get people as they go by the truck. Put a dollar bill in your grill above the nozzle and zap them when they go to cash in. Would make some funny videos…
Now if you want to get your friends really good or take revenge on the road-ragers then mix a little of the liquid *** that HB sells in with the water tank. Or go to the hunting section at Walmart and pick up some skunk lure or urine scent. Or use harmless food coloring which will make them think it is ink or paint that will stain but it will wash right out.
For the water tank why not just get a small 1-gallon air tank? If you get an aluminum, chrome, or stainless tank then no rust and it will be guaranteed to hold the pressure plus it will have fittings ready to go. A good alternative would be a paintball air tank or a Blue Rhino co2 tank which they sell at Lowes.
Of course the whole concept is a bit silly and some might say immature. But so is the idea of running around with a train horn on your vehicle and we all seem to enjoy that. I don’t mind anyone being for or against the ideas shared on this forum but I wish we could keep the insults, name calling, and personal digs out of here. This is a pretty clean place without a lot of clowns like you see on some other forums and it would be cool to keep it that way. HB deserves a lot of credit for not liberally censoring the forum like some others do and hopefully we can keep it that way by staying civil. If you don’t have something nice to say then say nothing, or if you insist on attacking then at least do it via PM and not in the public posts.
Are you implying that you’re mature, or that what diesel is suggesting is immature?
I’d like to hook it up on my rear bumper so I could spray it at people tailgaiting me!! That would be sweet.
lol
i have some deer piss that im going to use for hunting this year that i could spare so i might do that lol
but i think im going to use this tank because i can fill it from the top, run the water from the bottom, and use the two sides to presurize it and its 2 gallons so i have plenty of water
i like the dollar idea but its most likley going inside the p***enger side fender
so just tape a dollar to bed rail and hook it up to a seperate alarm system or to my current one and have the train horn blow with the water
with it going inside the fender when someones tailgating me ill pull into a turn lane and when they p*** spray em
and maby if im lucky they might have there window down lol
and if i p*** someone thats going 30 in a 55 like the old people down here do ill give em a carwash as i go by
With a steel tank that holds water continuously, the inside will rust out pretty fast and the rust may clog your fittings or spray nozzle in a hurry. If you must use a steel tank then consider lining it with some type of sealant first, or maybe use a mixture of water and something else to reduce the corrosion. Maybe rubbing alcohol since that absorbs water, but then all it would take is a spark and you would have a flame thrower… er… they do sell remote electric ignition sparkers… er… better not give you any more ideas…
When mounting the nozzle keep in mind how you plan to use it when in motion. The wind current will be pretty strong at anything over 5 mph so your stream is likely to get blown to the wind before it hits anything. You may want to get an adjustable nozzle with a high flow rate so you can set it up to fire a thicker stream which will not break apart so easily. The reason that windshield wiper pumps work so well is that the air flow is diverted by the windshield. If you try to spray out front or to the sides while in motion then the wind is going to be a significant factor.
