Were to mount horns on a mini truck.

Well ive taken the horns of my old rig. Now my new rig is a 2wd hilux slightly lower than stock.

I’m hoping to install the compressors behind the rear seat may need to go out of leader hose into plastic hose (hoping heat isn’t a issue)

Tanks I have no idea about. My horn mount will bolt up stright from my old rig (spare tyre under tray mount) but thinking being lower the cab fuel tanks ect will absorb a lot of the noise.

I’m thinking either seperate mounts in engine bay or roof rack mount and be loud and proud.

Just trying to get other people’s tnoughts I’m not really a fan of filling the tray with tanks compressors ect.

Here is a pic of another lux same year similar height

DOT air brake tubing should be fine at the end of a 3 foot or longer stainless steel braided hose and I would mount the tanks to the frame rail under the truck.

so you think 3ft of leader hose is required before converting it to dot line. I was hoping my stock lines would be enough.

The main issue is horn install think ill be making ‘dbo’ style seperate brackets

Leader hose length should be determined by how hot the compressor gets during its longest run time. Our compressors get hot in 5 to 10 minutes and that’s why we recommend at least 3 feet.
