i have the 400 now but want to go to 200 psi . i have the 5 gallon tank. i dont kno if dual 480s would be overkill or if i should just stick to having 1

Dual 480s would be good and not over kill. I have a 5 gal soon to be a 8.5 and ill be runnin dual 380s

Just say yes to Dual 480Cs on a 5 gallon tank.
You will be very pleased with the results.

yeah i know where im at i was referring to havin to spend more money for a h/p alternator or puttin in an extra battery right now my setup works great and its not pullin to much power for my alternator to have a problem but i want the horns to be louder and im tired of my compresor kicin on all the time lol

Upgrade to 1/2 air line and 1/2 air valve and run them at 200 psi… buy another 380c or one 480c thats for a 5 gallon air tank right?

i already have the 1/2" line im just gonna go ahead and get the dual compressors cuz they come with everything i need to go up to 200 psi just gotta get the funds lol

150 PSI could be the max rating on the tank but Lance will have your best answer on the compressors.

Doesn’t matter if you’re using one compressor or twenty… Max PSI is the rating for the tank’s maximum pressure.

Seek out a 200 PSI rated tank for your safety.
Don’t forget to use a properly rated safety valve as well.

yea i got a 5 gal tank rated at 200psi.

but back to the compressors. i also plan on doing a 5 gal tank with dual 480c’s. can anyone link me to the exact pressure switch i would need to run it at 150psi? im looking but most on hornblasters say they’re not recommended for the dual 480c setup.

Why use 480Cs unless you’re going to operate them @ 200 PSI ?

Typical pressure switch for 100 PSI is 165 PSI on, 200 PSI off.
I recommend VIAIR part number 90221 for the pressure switch and VIAIR part number 93980 for the relay.
