Hah yeah I’m not a cop but I think I’d get in ALOT of trouble for them…30 bucks delivered to Canada from China on Ebay they shure are a laugh. What I usually do is go to random empty parking lots there is usually a car full of stoners there. I creep up and flip the lights on and watch them freak out then start drifting around the parking lot lol

Yeah http://stores.ebay.ca/grapebaiwans Ok this person is legit but your not supposed to buy these … for obvious reasons but you still can buy them. So what you do is win the auction and pay right away then you will get an email from ebay saying your auction gets canceled send the person an email asking for tracking info and such and she will send you your info on the delivery of the lights. So you still get them even though ebay “canceled” your auction.

It is legal to have a siren on your vehicle, But you can not use it, (other than the horn feature) on any governed highway, Parking lots and private property are fair game. I researched it before I bought mine, But I happen to be employed by the local PD.
No its illegal to have the siren on ur vehicle… that wailing sound that cops use…its illegal just to have it on ur vehicle…

Negative, It is legal to posses Just illegal to use on a state governed highway. as stated before, as long as you use it properly, Shows, parking lots, parades, Escorts…Etc, you are legal. It is also very legal for the Horn feature., Just got to remember right place right time and you are okay. I actually looked up the statue.
Also remember you are in Delaware I am in Florida.
Whts the legality of strobes on your vehicle if not used on highways but as for car shows…like if i was going to install some red/blue/clear front grill strobes and a cop stopped me and ask me what are those for what can i say.

Strobes and sirens are a totally different story, Strobes CAN be used on state governed highways as long as they are Clear or Amber, All tho same as your emergency flashers(4 ways/Hazards) you are not allowed by law to use those lights when the vehicle is in motion.
Red blue and other color strobes, You may posses and have items installed on vehicle just can not be used on a state governed highway, only on private property and parking lots. if used on a highway you are looking at a felony.
ALSO keep in mind, some store owners give law enforcement full privileges to operate on their property and enforce all standard traffic laws, so I would watch it in parking lots too.
Yeah I usually just use mine in parking lots to mess around, but one day I did forget them on… I was stopped at a stop sign waiting to go and everyone was looking at me all strange then I turned the corner looked at my control box and yelled OH GOD!!! I turned the next corner and flooooooooored it outta there real quick.:eek:
EDIT: Also what kind of Hide-A-Ways to you have? I’m thinking of buying some, possibly a Whelen 60w setup, but am still unsure.
Whelen is the best Public safety and warning company around. I have about 7 grand in whelen products on my silver truck. It happens to be sponsored by them. Great product, Used daily, had it for 4 years and not one strobe has blown.
