I used 200 psi for 2.5 years with no problem on my K5s. Now I use 170 on the K5s and 120 for the P3s. I never had any problem or noticed any undue wear on the diaphrams.
I wanted to have longer Blasts, and so much pressure seems to change the note to A higher pitch so I put A pressure regulator in at 170 psi but my system still charges to 200 psi. I do have A little bit longer blast time now and my system works well. BTW Very good Idea using the K5s on your boat. I like IT !
I use 200 Psi for my shockers and a pressure flow regulator on my truck horns which is already built into the valve for them. I would recommend using 150 max for Nathans and if your gonna go with some Leslie’s Go for 145 Psi.
I bought a pressure regulator for my air doors, so I guess next season (100 days away:mad:) I will hook it up to the horns and compare how they sound at different PSI.
1 question though, does the pressure regulator get installed between the tank and the valve or between the valve and the horns???
