What system

I’m looking for an air system to run my Nathan triple air horns and i’m also getting a set of Firestone Ride Rite air bags all for on my 06 F-150. I would like to keep the cost down and yes i know you get what you pay for but i got around 3 to 350 to play with right now.

Airbags and Nathan Airchimes? I would save some more money and get “the good stuff”

Well an air system alone will be more that 3-350 if your talking Tank / compressor / lines / fittings / solenoid / valve etc…

Like said, save up…

Yeah save up for it. I’ve got the Firestone airbags and I’m looking to replace the tank and compressor, and more than likely the cheap nylon airlines and double needle gauge that recently was replaced under the 1 year warranty due to leaking air off my right side bag. If you can get the bags by themselves that would be even better.

The compressor that comes with that kits turns on/off 4 or 5 times for me to air up from 20 to 30 PSI empty to my load carrying 75 to 80 PSI. Here’s a good example how much of a chore it is to fill my bags:

I’ll start around 25 PSI in my bags. Each bag has it’s own valve (good part of the kit) and I’ll start filling one side until I get around 50 PSI. Now I have to stop and wait for the compressor to refill the tank (compressor refill #1). Then I have to finish filling this bag and wait again (compressor refill #2) for the kit to play catch up. Then we move to the other side (compressor refills #3 and 4) and once I’m up to pressure it will sometimes kick on one more time (compressor refill #5; this is 50/50 but it does happen) due to low pressure in the tank. I know this is due to both the small tank and compressor size, so I blame this on bad implementation and design of the kit.

Now the bags really are the best part of the entire kit. The bags make the truck ride incredible. My bagged 1 ton rides better than my wife’s stock 3/4 ton and I don’t hear the wife and kids complain about the empty ride anymore, and its a sweet ride towing my 26 foot RV toyhauler.

Doesn’t come with every bell and whistle, but its of the highest quality parts. If you intend to air up and down a lot, you can replace the pump with a 450C constant duty for $25 more.

You’d also need either paddle switches, or an electric 4-valve setup to independently control your helper springs. We carry the a dual needle gauge with paddles for $100: http://www.hornblasters.com/products/details.php?i=air-lift-dual-needle-paddle-gauge

Should be pretty much all you need
