On the Wolo Model 419 Bad Boy Black One Piece Design Air Horn Kit - 12 Volt?
I’m completely illiterate to the world of train horns but am trying to get one for my fiance because he really wants one. I’m not in a position to spend hundreds of dollars on one; but don’t want to order one online and find out it’s a piece of crap that wouldn’t scare a rabbit.
And if it’s not worth the $30 it costs, what are some cheap kits that are still loud?
Welcome to the forums. Those horns would be considered an upgrade to a stock horn. They do not compare to the ‘Shockers’ that Hornblasters sells or an authentic trainhorn. So you might want to find out what he really means by trainhorn. There are lots of videos on youtube if you type wolo bad boy.
IMO, If your fiance is really wanting a train horn. He will not like the wolo bad boy at all…

Get him a gift certificate to the site.
That way he can pony up the $ towards something he would really like and not have to settle.

If you can’t swing them right now, just save up for them. Most of us here have either bought the pieces over time or just keep upgrading.
