I have been researching and researching where to install my horns on my 06 f250. I have a set of P3’s (yes much more manageable and smaller than the K5’s) but I’m still having trouble finding a great place to mount them. I have read a bunch of threads of people mentioning putting them in the spare tire location. I really want to avoid that area because I like the security of having the spare but I can’t seem to find any other place to fit the horns. Does anyone have any other suggestions of where to put them, or a solution for the spare tire besides just having it float around the bed. I’ve tried to fit them along the frame and door on both the drivers and passengers side but they don’t seem to fit. Any ideas would be appreciated since I am planning to install them by the end of this month. I am planning on putting the tank and dual 444c’s in my tool box and the horns under the truck.

What I have to install
P-3’s
Dual 444c’s
12 gallon tank
Digital air gauge for the cab
SMC 1/2" solenoid valve
110-150 PSI pressure switch
I have a p3 on an f250 and i had to remove my spare tire and mount it there. I also have dual compressors behind my backseat and an 8.5gal tank in the bed of the truck.
I forget who, but a guy just put a K5 under his toolbox - pointing towards the rear.
That might be an option…
You can always bolt it to the roof like I did. It looks great and it’s easy to make a pull-cord valve when the horn is on the roof.
Why the hell would you point a horn toward the rear? It’s bad enough to point them to the side.
I have forward pointing front mounted k3 so that only douchenozzles in front of me get the brunt of the noise
spare tire
You could get one of those kits that seperate the bells off the manifold and then you could place each bell in a different spot and not be restricted to having the whole horn in one spot, otherwise your going to need to use the spare tire area.

I hear ya. Mine face rearward temporarily. I’m doing separate brackets behind the grill.
But to be honest, they’re so damn loud it doesn’t even matter. They’re still stupid loud with my bed cover shut…
My K3LA is heard at a mile and a half … and the point straight down.
No matter which way they point, they’ll hear you.

I took the spare off of my Trailblazer SS, and had plenty of room…in fact, I mounted 100% of my stuff in its place. P3’s, 5 gallon Hornblasters tank, Vaair compressor, 1/2" valve…
