I am having a hard time choosing between the Kleinn 230 horn and the United Pacific 46115 horn. They both sound great, they’re both extremely loud and they’re both around the same price. The 230 is made of ABS plastic while the 46115 is made of chromed spun brass. The reason I am not buying the ***** 4-chime horn (AKA the shockers) is because I do not like the way they sound.

Both of them come with a 3/8 inch valve and tubing but I’m going to buy a 1/2 inch valve and 1/2 inch tubing anyways so that does not matter.
i guess if those are your choices i would do the Kleinn…

Just think about it this way… good chance you cant get replacement parts for the kleinn or the 3 chime… Also, good luck with warranty on them.
With the hornblasters shockers, if you have a problem, call them up and they are there to help. There are many people including myself who went the other companys route , but then saw the light and bought the shockers… For me it was siege engineering…
Dont make the same mistake.
I agree 100% with warranty being important, so I’ll go with the United Pacific horn. Airhornsoftexas has a support system that rivals that of Hornblasters with guided phone help, quick response to e-mails and they allow you to get replacement parts, which I bought for a grover stuttertone that I got from a junkyard which had a broken spring. While Sonicelectronix (Kleinn’s most trusted vendor) has a decent support system, my gut is telling me to go with the UP. Thanks for the help, but I’m not getting the shockers. I just don’t like the sound they make, it doesn’t sound like something you would hear on a real train. The UP blows the same chord as the K3LA. And yes, siege sucks which is why they were out of business so fast. Airhornsoftexas has been up for quite a while and is great. Just ask repeatman, the bicycle train horn guy.
