Who has plans to upgrade this summer?

What are your plans to upgrade or install horns this year?
Maybe louder or more air capacity… Maybe fix those leaks…

How 'bout other vehicle mods?

Maybe replace my 480’s with a dual OB2’s, but not in any urgent rush on that front.
If anyone has a spare RS5T lying around… hmm, now that’s a whole different matter entirely… I could get tempted.

Hey if you’re still using thread tape go grab yourself a bottle of Loctite 545 or Pirtek S69… you’ll never look back. The only hassle is the cure time but apart from that you can forget about leaks.

Fix some leaks, remount my tank, add some grease to the EDC …

Winter has been invading Spring, but I’ve started working on mine again.
I still need to wire and plumb my new air setup…and hopefully fit my K5 behind the grill.

The trainhorn wiring involves a complete stereo rewire and install new sub enclosure.

What else is brewing out there??

I am currently Plumbing up my 7 Gallon Air tank and getting it ready to install on the bicycle trailer. :wink:

And also tackling the task of being able to charge the small GelCell Battery on the trailer with this. :smiley:

I’ve got to solidly mount the dual 400c’s and the 5 gallon tank setup for me.

That will only be a small part of the project though. I need to:

-Carpet the two mounting boards for the compressors & the tank.
-Trim out a “collar” for the false floor that has already been made for my last system in the trunk.
-Mount three class D amps for the new system on a vertical plane above the compressors which are mounted at a 45 degree angle.
-Place the new processor somewhere on the cabin side of the amp board.
-Re run power and signal wires in the trunk area.
-Work on re-placing the lighting for the trunk area.
-Install the new Sony XAV-701HD in the space left by the P-01.
-Finish the three way placement and aesthetic integration into the old A-pillars, sail pillars, and doors.

…figuring out how to tell my wife that I WILL buy a pro street racing rig (and not get killed trying to do so)…

After we finish rebuilding the detroits and transmissions, then the new generator gets installed.

After those little jobs, then I can

Install 2 1510 stuttertone horns which I already have

Install GW E-Bell which I already have

Install GW manual valve which I already have

want to add more air, got to buy additional tank

Oh man… Nice boat - I bet those twin Detroit’s sound great at full song but they must do some serious drinking. All I could see was dollar symbols floating in front of my eyes when looking at those photos.

I did have plans to upgrade but after investigating, and investigating some more a complete lack of room for a nice set of K3’s or K5’s has gone out the window :frowning:

Might go nuts and get a 18 gallon air tank for the shockers and have duel compressors or something instead XD

Need to track down leaks on my Blazer ZR2 HB shocker setup for sure. Then there’s the F-150 I just bought, which seems to have plenty of room for some K3’s…

Me is going to upgrade the 228vx kit on the works van to a 540 kit & then fix the leak I have on my feed to the manual valve.

:eek:I may also be taking out the “Blingey” chrome installation out of my subaru, selling the car & putting the Horns on our Audi A4 Convertible for the summer! :eek:

I’m in the process of upgrading my K3 into a K6… Got the horns I need from 63 belair…thanks again. Spent a couple of hours today building the individual mounting brackets I need. As soon as the 1L comes in, it’s going to Southbay hornworks to get tuned to the B chord to match the 4A. I’m currently running one 400 on an 8.5 gallon tank which is probably not good for the compressor, so the next purchase will liikely be another compressor :smiley:

Is a k6 the thing everyone is doing now? lol…I want a EDC first haha

I know, I know I’m 2 years behind everyone else lol. And I would love to do an EDC but I’m not sure I’m capable. Would be cool though

LOL - my original plan was a K9. I have pics of them all lined up when I was painting them. Now I’m only doing a K5 which will use a lot less air.
