I have been wanting train horns for my truck since before I bought my truck. I have had the Hornblasters conductors special 540 picked out, but a buddy I know just bought a Wolo Siberian Express Model 847 kit (http://www.wolo-mfg.com/train.htm) for $400 (including 5 gal tank and Viair compressor). I haven’t found any reviews on the Wolo kits on here, only a few mentions here and there. I have watched several youtube vid’s of this set up and it sounds great. Is anyone on here running this set up or heard of this horn? I’m wondering if it’s worth saving $250 over the Hornblaster kit…
Dang, just did a re-read…it’s only a 2 gal tank. I was thinking it was a 5 gal…this may have just swayed my decision…
Welcome. Most of the guys here say Shockers are the next best thing to Nathans
Yeah, I pretty much decided to hold off and spend the extra $250 and get the Hornblasters. Bigger tank and all the installation material included.
;)Good job!!!
:D:D:D You won’t be disappointed.
believe me I own a set of hornblasters shockers and all i have to say about the loudness is, “DAAAAMN!” someone here has a cheap Omega train horn they honked under the bridge one time while I was under there with my shockers and well, The shockers over powered it by EPIC Proportions!
Thanks for the input everyone. I passed on the Wolo’s and am saving for the Shockers. I have made a decision that the horn WILL be the next thing I do to the truck. I almost got ran off the road in Denton TX by a punk kid in a Mercedes this weekend. Gotta get horns…
Once you get horns you will look forward to the jackhole in the Mercedes attempting to cut you off. LOL
I can’t wait…
