The short explanation: Woot.com sells one thing a day for cheap until it runs out. When they have “wootoffs” from time to time, they sell an item until it runs out, then they’ll list another item over and over all day. I’ve gotten some good deals on there, and have also bought some crazy stuff no one would want.

Nope. From what I understand they are only offered whenever there is a woot-off and you can buy the monkey when it is listed. I’ll should however let our resident professional woot monkey collectors confirm/deny this.

The monkey is offered usually whenever there is a woot off… Its just an item they sell that tends to crash the server / sell out in a matter of 20 seconds… and thats usually with them selling 5000 of them… max amt you can buy on the site is 3 of each item… shipping is $5 no matter if u buy 1 or 3… If you look at woot.com today you will see they did something a little different for people to try and win the bag of crap… usually its put up just like the monkey and server crash happens within 10 sec.l

Well, i made the initial buy of them, 3 per color cape… and then sell the others to pay for mine… so they are free to me actually… Just a reseller… but gives a person a chance to get there own off me.
I have 2 in my truck actually. hahaha
