Here is the # 31 trumpet from my S2-M Leslie Horns. I stripped it and repainted the inside Red with the outside a dark hammered grey finish. Once I reassemble the set I will clear coat the whole thing.

Looking good!
I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product. I love the different paint schemes everyone come up with!
Work is done. Will post test video tomorrow .
I’m diggin’ it.
Awesome!! :D:D We wanna hear them now!
Did a short test and one of the horns is DEAD. I have to tinker with it at work tonight and see what the issue is.
Drool!
I’m still hoping to pick up a Leslie RS5T in original condition from somewhere … one of these days.
Changed out the small horn. The other one has a chamber issue that will take a bit of fiddling. I did however test the horn at 70psi. Damn!!! I’m deaf now! Lol
It’s amazing how many people think they need 150 to 200 psi to make their horns loud. That may work for some horns but in many cases higher pressure just adds distortion.
The trains themselves rarely push 120 psi. That’s why although I will go with a 200 psi system I will regulate it down to 100 psi.
