$350 budget!

there is another site… Hornandwhistleboard.com I believe… There may be someone over there selling some. just dont tell them your planning on scaring anyone

Ooh good advice to tell them. Thanks alot will check them out.

Right - do not mention scaring over there…

I think you’re going to have to spend a little more money, unless you find a really sweet deal. Good luck.

Correct! I’m not finding anything for $300. Althought I found a gently used Nathan k3h for $370 shipped and I might just go for that.

Do you think a k3h will be ok with a 5 gallon tank? I may do dual 400c compressors so that would boost my blast time but what’s your opinion?

5 gallons works. It’s about the minimum, but several people run a K3 with 5 gallons.

Dual compressors will not boost your blast time - it will shorten your wait time…lol

$370 is good if nothing is broke and just needs some TLC. Try to find out the condition of the diaphrams.

I was told they are recently rebuilt, new gaskets, rings. There good and the video looked good also.
I would imagine dual compressors would cut my fill time in half. That’s weird.

Here is the link to the horns I am about to purchase.

Let me know what you think - thanks alot

These are the horns. Exact ones.

I’d say jump on that deal. It’s a good price from someone that seems to know & respect horns.

You are correct about dual compressors cutting your fill time in half. I was refering to your comment about boosting blast time.

I will most likly be ordering then tonight. And yeah I gotta another question for you. I am going to put it all under my truck and have an idea of a 5 gallon tank but how many ports should it have? And should I do 1/2 or 3/8 line? I’m thinking stainless steel braided lines would be best. Whatever a good set up would be let me know. Trying to stay on a budget of $600 so around $50 for tank and roughly around $120 for compressor and lines/switches around $100?

Thanks alot, it’s all narrowing it down making it simple

Also just for offered Nathan P3 that have been completely redone from bolts, gaskets, diaphragm to being sand blasted. So he said $425 shipped. That’s $400 for the horns! $20 more for the p3’s or k3h?? What would you choose?

I personally like the K-horns better.

minimum 1/2" o.d. tube. Some do 5/8" o.d. or 1/2" i.d.
Get a 1/2" valve.

The tank should have at least 4 ports. Bare minimum.
air in, air out, drain, safety valve, pressure switch, gauge
Some of that stuff can share a port by using tee or cross fittings.
At least 1 of the ports should be 1/2" NPT for the airline out to the valve. The sizes of the rest are less important.

SS braided hose will blow your budget. Ask me how I know haha…

Good stuff! I can’t decide for my life to get a k3ha or p3. Most likly Im going to get the p3 because that one is very popular and the specific on I may inquire is completely redone… Any way I’ll try to get a 6-8 port tank and go with non SS braided tubing. Thanks alot I’ll post back when I have more questions thanks!!!

Hornblasters has a 5 gallon tank with plenty of 1/2" ports. We carry a 6 gallon tank with 1/2" ports on the ends, 4 1/4" ports, and 4 3/4" ports on one side.

You may not need to run stainless steel braided hose from your tank to the horns unless they’re near a hot manifold or exhaust. You can use DOT air brake tubbing with instant lock fittings.
