09 sierra Z71 K5lar24 tool box build.

i will also clean up the tank and vacuum the toolbox out when its complete

Also I dont understand one thing, with as much money as i spent with HB they didn’t even send me a sticker or T-shirt :(:(:( They had great service so i Guess thats enough lol

These horns are build to withstand the elements so you could probably be safe blowing it out. If you are worried about it, you might just pull the toolbox and drain the water out. Just put some rags in the bells next time you spray your bed out. The only thing I would worry about is if you live in a really cold area and the water in the bells freeze up and you go to blow it, it could crack a diaphram. So if it is below freezing where you live, I would get all that water out now and try keeping it out. And I would tell them to get you a d$%mn sticker!

By the way, great install. Very clean job. I am really enjoying the pictures. It also gives people here really good ideas for installs.

You might have to make them have a slight tilt on mount to pitch forward a hair, enough so water will drain out. Nice install looks great

Or just slide your toolbox forward and loosen the backcap bolts and let the water drain out that way then tighten them back up and try to keep it from happening again. Like dirt jersey said if you can tilt them a bit. It does not look like you have the room though.

they are already tilted back as far as they can be, they cannot be tilted a hair more, thanks for the complements guys

Nice! Clean & organized.
You can tell when somebody plans out an install.
It really pays off.

hey i may have some left over stickers if u want i can send u some. pm me ur address

Thanks but HB must of been reading my post they sent a ton lol. well got her all in today and the switch and relays came in like 5 minutes after i buttoned everything up. UPS is awesome lol. I know i still have a loose wire or two but here she is with a short video, wife is not here and the camera blows so its just my goofy BUTT. I will be wire looming everything throughout the week. also for those wondering those are wacky Jacks I been doing p90x lol. The digital gauge is worth its weight in gold. i wired everything where the horn would honk without any switch on, compressors will only come on when i turn the switch on and the gauge only comes on when the compressors switch is on, this way if the gauge lights are on i know the switch is on. and don’t leave the system on over night. Tell me some honest opinions lol.

also check the video in the end:):):):D:D:D:D:eek::eek::eek::eek: I have a 102 acres and my nearest neighbors are about a 1/4 mile off, listen to one of them honk back lol. Oh the water just blew out lol.

Tomorrow i will post some pictures of her all cleaned up and waxed, Not that thats are part of this build but she needs it.

And here is a short short video, not the prettiest I have heard but they sound OK to me. If anyone has any suggestions i am all open ears.

Pure sweetness!

Well guys i have wasted a 1/2 tank of gas today honking and showing them off I LOVE THEM

haha!! awesome esp cuz cost of gas now a days lol

Leak down test resulted in a 10 lbs loss from last night to this morning. went from 202 to 193 this morning. I think thats pretty good. I will have to get into town to really scare anyone with them, I live so deep in the woods everyone around here hears them and loves them. you can’t scare a burnt up meth head, but i did scare some liquored up brothas. Gonna be the middle of the week or next weekend before i get any pictures of the truck clean. it started raining here today and will be here for a few days. Thanks for all the help and reply’s guys

Glad you’re enjoying your horns.
Haha I just got a visual of a meth head peeking out the blinds…LOL

So how do you like the regulator? Where did you set it?

i set it at 150 I am going to play with it some through out the week and weekend. taking the pressure down that is. never going to go above 150. As for the regulator itself! It seems very well made and well worth the money. Thank you for putting me onto it and the bracket, money well spent if you ask me.

99% sure I’m getting one too. They sell pretty good stuff.
I just wonder how much honk time it really adds.
At least the horns aren’t getting hit with 200psi.

well i know they will honk for around 10 seconds before the tank will get to 150 psi, after that they seem to go at least 10 or more seconds before they start dropping bells. This is holding the button down and never letting off. I can beep them like a 1 second blast and only use 4 or 5 psi a honk. they actually last a lot longer than i thought they would of. I am extremely happy that yall advised me to go with the 12 gallon tank. i would have not been happy with the 5. I also know it takes a while for the dual 444s to fill the tank from empty. like almost 10 minutes. and the heads on the compressors get pretty hot. (is this normal?) and what kind of maintenance should i do to these puppys. Are the 480s taht much better and fill up that much faster???
