Any horn in an enclosed container will sound a lot less loud. It may still seem loud when standing next to the truck but it will be muffled and much softer at any distance. If the bed or container was partially or completely open on at least one side then this would make a big difference.
So the only drawback to stink’s install is that you can’t honk the horn quickly in an emergency because you would have to wait for the lid to raise up, and if it is raining or snowing then whatever is in the bed will get trashed. Honking with the lid closed and the bed completely sealed would be like farting in an elevator when you are the only one inside. It may still stink when the next guy gets in later but it would be much worse for you.
Mate, the K3’s are still loud with the top down, yes not as loud… but still loud enuff…
We were blasting at the show and had numerous complaints… several forums are making all sorts of funny comments over here, apparently I should get a bigger penis, to which I have replied, “I have asked Hornblasters if they sell bigger Penis’s” & if they dont I would be happy to stick my weener in their mouth and then tell me that its small!!!" lol…

I dont agree fully with that. Now, I’ve heard yours and they are LOUD, but I think you are running a bit more than 150 to yours. K3 is actually louder than a K5 under the circumstances outlined in the specs. k5 is a bigger horn, takes more air to run it.
Ill bet it is Stinky. Great install man, the hoses and everything are hidden. Seems like you had as much work doing the electrical as you did the pneumatics. Great job mate!
Welcome to the grey area, there is always a chance that your horn could sound louder. There isnt a straight and narrow for these situations, where one person took a turn, another person will take another turn. Different results for both.

If someone farted in the elevator on the way to the parking lot (hopefully a parking garage) I would wait for that idiot to get in his car, and HORN EM. Just me.
Chrome the outside and paint the inside of the bells orange, so if there’s not that much light when you crack the back, the extra attention given to the little glowing circles will highten the surprise.
And dont let nobody talk down on your setup. Your fan base is big enough to not have to deal with that. Im one of em.

And if just one person likes wot I have done, then its all been worth it:D each to their own… There are hundreds of you over there in the States with Horns and I kinda like the idea of showing mine off, the one comment I get all the time is “We have never seen anything like that done before, it so different”… Oh and trust me on this one…the amount of people who come up to me saying they have seen the Hornblasting vids you guys do, its starting to spread, superb!!!..

You Silly Bro! Anything for you Stinky, Im flattered that you took my suggestion into consideration. There’s a song here that says “Cream on the inside, Clean on the outside” So hey, let it ooze matey. I see the hornblasting is latching on. I heard my first train horn on a Suburban about 5-6 years ago and I never forgot how Out-Of-Place-COOL that was (thats my word, copywritten.lol) Im glad that you got a REAL horn and not something that’ll get ya laughed at. They’re only jockin you cause you did it right. One thing that wile-e forgot to notice on his LONG list of comments, is that the bed of your truck acts like a Cannon. You’re channeling all that K3 power into one big DEATH RAY of ear-shattering horn power. At least thats what I imagine in my head with the bed cover closed and the tail gate open.
