Drilling HornBlasters Shocker Horns

I have two sets, recently got a compressor from hornblasters, open the horns up and drilled them a bit bigger air hole on each one. all 8’’- ran a 1/2 in air hose to each selenoid. changed out the pressure switch from 145 psi to 175 psi. and hell it got unreal!!! honestly i say close to a k5la!! no bull. them horns ROCK!!!.

why would you drill out the shockers?

the shockers sound great as they are…I can’t imagine them being louder

video?

Drilling out shockers is abuse!!! lol

Each solenoid?

he probaly has 4 selenoid runnign to 4 shockers.

Interesting…Pics? Video?

Bye bye lifetime warranty…

Oi !

lol:D

Gotta see the vid. If a shocker can be made to be as loud or close, I wanna see. lol

I still dont understand having the cost of 4 solenoids.

perhaps they are located on different parts of the vehicle, and he wants all of the hoses the same, so if you use the 4 solenoids in different locations all of the horns will fire at the same time… (it’s a stretch, but hey…)

All the hoses would have to be the same length in order for all the bells to fire at the same time. Regards of 1 or 4 solenoids.

Im thinking maybe he wants to control whether one horn comes on, or all 4.

Im also curious cause I had a customer call me and asked me if 3 1/2 solenoids would make a K3 Louder then using just one. He said he was told this by someone who was very serious about it.

Theres a customer from Canada has a 4 valve setup on his… he’s on here sometimes. His is pretty sick… I’ll ask Rigo / Garrett… they know his username

Nick from Canada has the setup. Search the threads and you will find his video.

To me it sounds the same. He should adjust the tension on the back cap to have them sound better.

yes the shockers are loud! i have two sets, i got bigger selenoids, from tank to selenoid i ran a 1/2 air line one to each set. evrything stayed the same ,except that i drilled out the air way on the horn itself just a tap bigger. then i went about 1/8 turn on the hex screw on the back of the horn more tight one each one. blasting them at 175 psi. it got way louder!! i get the middel finger from folk’s on the sidwalk most of the time. but honestly they got louder! it be great if the guys from horn blasters could make the shockers bigger in all ways.

how do you know how much to adjust the tension ?? i turned each one about 1/8 to 1/4 turn? will that be good?
