Finally!!

finally installed and honking.

thermal wrap and heatshields to follow… this will do for now.

yellow handle for emergency shutoff of the shockers incase they go off early in the morning.

you can see them through the rims!

switches, left-right: semi horn/stock horn/shocker XL, compressor (on/off) and footwell neons (on/off)

clearance is about an inch from the pipe:

Looks good - Let the fun begin!

it’s fun alright. already scared a few people. went to a car audio shop nearby (which I’m friends with) and they had a blast.

had all three lanes of traffic stop when I honked at a jeepney that won’t let me pass. and scared some people inside their cars even if all their windows were closed.

Looking good man, bravo zulu for a very clean install. I am sure you don’t have to drive far to scare someone hehe…

damn. so they just passed a law here that they can confiscate your PA/Siren/loud horn even if they did not see you use it and have a hotline so people can report you if they see you use it.

had to take all the horns off for now. this sux.

edit:

I had an idea, what if I always keep the tank filled to 30psi or so. so when I honk I still have the low notes of the shockers minus the loud levels. but when I’m out of the jurisdiction, fill it back up to max psi.

serious? thats bullshit

man here things are the same by years…
in case of suspicius inspection of engine bay or trunk if they ever notice something “added” (i mean which is not stock) they would inpound your ride and constrict you test your car (to our local DMV), and of course you have to test your car totally stock, you receive a big ticket and i think you can’t touch the car for 2 or 3 months before test.

Today i’ve been pulled over, i have my PA300 in the middle of the dash, police noticed it but the officer didn’t say a word about it. Just asked my papers and that’s it, but i risked!!
I think that’s the funny part of the game

yep. I agree. there have been a lot of vehicles already fined and sirens removed in the news. but those sirens are illegal because they aren’t officials and are using those to get through the traffic.

just waiting for the issue to calm down and get a feel on how strict they will be then the horns will be back on in about a week or two. the honking every few hundred meters after about a couple months.

edit: here’s something I saw in our laws…

  1. That it shall be unlawful for the owner or possessor of any motor vehicle to use or attach to his vehicle any siren, bell, horn, whistle, or other similar gadgets that produce exceptionally loud or startling sound, including
domelights, blinkers and other similar signalling or flashing devices.

Any device or gadget installed or mounted on any motor vehicle or otherwise used in violation of this decree shall be subject to immediate confiscation…

I’ll first have a feel how strict they will be in implementing it before I put them back on.

shockers running on 20psi should not be loud and startling.

but I’ve seen a news report video and they confiscated ahooga horns?!? those aren’t loud! wtf?!?

all the horns were off because I was letting them law issue cool off. once there is another issue to keep the police busy, they won’t care about stuff like HID lights and horns.

already itching to get the horns back. can’t live without them!!! people over here really don’t care about the stock horn even if you lay it on for a while.

just going to get the nasty leak fixed (and I mean a really big one, 125psi all gone overnight) because of those iron fittings I used to connect the ball valve to the tank. they work ok for water but threads aren’t good enough for air so I got some really expensive brass ones to replace them on friday.

Got my K3 off 4 days ago because of this damn law. I am going to Manila on the 25th and I am contemplating if I put it back on and just take if off before I enter Manila (NLEX). I really have to make one of them plate flippers too so no one can get my number. I bought one of those plate flippers on ebay although they are poorly made and break or get stuck easy. I wonder if you guys know any kind of air piston I can use to make one.

I have a couple small air cylinders at home. couldn’t find a decent small volume air valve though so I can’t use them yet. I’m gonna put my horns back on this weekend. police don’t seem to mind my car when I drive by. that’s the nice thing about having a small car.

just keep in mind and not honk them around police and we’ll be fine I guess.

dang. I was going to transfer my electronic pressure switch sensor from the compressor to the dash near the dash gauge (gonna tee from the air line) and while cleaning the sensor I broke it!!!

and suddenly I remember the quote from Murphy’s law…

If you mess with a thing long enough, it’ll break.

and I can’t find any appropriate replacement sensor from anywhere. it’s a silicon solid state sensor.
it’s exactly the same as the black thing in this pic:

last resort? I bought one of these:

and it seems my controller (which reads the sensor) can be used to read the sender with very little modification. won’t know for sure till the weekend when I get the chance to install it. crosses fingers

new compressor c/o islander mike.
Viair 400C. gonna take a bit of work before it will be installed though… can’t wait.

where u from with these crazy laws?

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Philippines.
yeah, crazy. usually, the laws are good for the first six months while the topic is hot.

when it settles, they don’t care anymore.

but then when it’s time for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks in between, enforcers will find someone doing something (or stop you and look for something illegal or whatever) so they can give you a ticket or you give them some cash for food. :stuck_out_tongue:

wow… eff that. lol u should move lol

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

lol. Moving doesn’t get rid of the problem. Just changes it. Every place has their own problems.

I just disassembled the 400C I got and everything inside seems to be in good condition so they will be installed tomorrow, hopefully

ready for installation tomorrow.

So are you worried that your gauge will be inaccurate?
Or is that controller adjustable?

controller is adjustable. I’ll be keeping it at 125psi only as the pop off valve is weak and hisses at around 130psi.
