Hi Guys,
I have a WOLO 50 watt on a 100 watt speaker and you have to smooch the mich and almost yell into the thing. See it HERE.
I read above comments about the new HB 100 watt PA having near the same characteristics.
My question is on the Whelen Power Airhorn Plus 100 watt amplifier with microphone. I take it this is a really good unit? No smooching or raising of the voice required?
An ID or opinion on the WOLO supplied speaker would be appreciated.
I have no experience with the Wolo units myself, but I’d imagine our 100 watt amplifier is going to be significantly louder than the 50 watt Wolo one.
I installed the Whelen Airhorn/Pa unit on a buddys truck and used to have one too. They work way better than most and are fairly loud. The air horn feature is not quite as loud as other 100 Watt siren systems or as my Federal Signal ss2000sm but its also 200 Watts.
Whats the difference between the HB PA with and without airhorn? (please dont say one has an air horn and one does’nt! LOL)
Its not an “air horn” it is an electronic horn that they try to make sound like an air horn…
look up something like “Police air horn” on youtube…

I don’t know what the HB 100w sounds like, I have the Whelen PA on my truck… and it does sound just like that…
I have that whelen siren…would sell it if I can find it…lol
