K3LA, 8.5 gallon tank, Chevy S10

i have one on my regulator…havent installed the other gauge yet…gotta get fittings and line, but it is cutting off around 200-210…so idk what it could be…weird part is it does it when i blow the horn, but not everytime i blow it.

The safety valve could be bad or worn out/weak

i just got it…lol why would it do it when i blow the horn though? and just so happened to be after i raised the PSI to the K3LA from 150 to 200?

Where is it located in relation to the horn? It is on a separate port, right?

On the side…the port next to my horns…not the same port though.

Well I tured the regulator down to 150…so we will see if that changes it any.

Solenoid valve or manual valve?
If solenoid - maybe when the valve slams shut, it creates a backwave through the tank…? IDK

Solenoid…I can’t remember if its right when it opens or closes…never held it down long when it did it. Lol

I would fuse it because yes something can short. I work with electric motors all the way up to 100horse and the windings in electric motors can short out we see it everyday. So i would recommend you put a fuse in line.

You fit 40’s under a six inch lift? bout to be getting a 8" rize lift with 37’s. haha

I know a guy with cranked torsion keys with 37’s  lol maybe a 2 inch lift

I was looking at Rize’s website and they said 8 inch lift would truely clear 37’s? I’ve never seen an 8 inch lift before only 6 inch lifts. bout to get big settlement from getting underpaid at my last job, so I’mma get a lift, rims, and tires with it haha.

Do a 12 in lift…way better

I’ve got an 8" Fabtech with 37’s no prob and have been told I could go with 40’s, possibly 42’s. Like Scaredu is suggesting, I already want to go up another 2-4". I guess once I got up there and used to it, I wanna go higher!

You can clear 40’s with a 6in lift on a super duty and possibly a dodge due to the size of the fender wells. But i dont recommend it. They tend to rub alot and you have to nearly stop to cross any type of bump cause the tires will hit.

If u go on ebay motors and search lifted… lol u will find some nice trucks or atleast ideas

Ok went through water pullin into a parkin lot and didn’t know my compressors were runnin…pulled my voltage way down. Did it hurt my compressors? They work fine now.

Do you have a remote air intake? Maybe you pumped a bunch of water into your tank. lol

Yea its behind my taillights…would the water have hurt the motor? Maybe the water somehow put a load on the compressor? Lol idk

The water would have put load on the compressor, imagine air can be squashed/compressed into a small space as the piston strokes up and down, water is obviously thicker than air and cannot be compressed as quickly so it would have put an inherent load on the motor.

You might wanna drain your tank at some point to???
