Hey guys ive posted this before but I figured id post it again.I am having an issue with my 4pc hornblasters, just about everytime i hit the horns they sound high pitched almost like the deepest horn isnt working at all.Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. When it was cold outside i actually narrowed it down to the horns only working properly when it is cold outside. So I was told maybe its moisture so even after emptying the tank they still do it.Now that its hot outside they hardly ever work right unless i hit them over and over then they will all kick in and sound good.I was told maybe there is some teflon in them but I dont want to take them apart and Im thinking maybe some rusty water in them or something but im unsure how to clean them.I dont want to void any warranty because if I cannot get them working right i might have to send them for repair or something.I also have a small water trap installed but it doesnt seem to help.Alright guys thanks alot!
call hornblasters! im sure they’ll have a solution or help you get them right!
I am experiencing similiar problems but mine just sound really weak. So if you find out what is wrong i would like to know thanx
check the air line form the mainfold to the horns… or just give hornblasters a call they will help you for sure they are awesome
As he said…give HB HQ a call… they is the dogz rolox!!
Ok ill be giving them a call after unite,I will just tell them my problem and see what they say. Thanks guys!Ill post back and let u all know what happened
The horns do have a life time warranty worst case scenario just pay the freight to and from and HB will replace the 4 horns!
Yeah I am going to try and clean them and check for any debris in the lines after the valve and see if it clears up,oh also drain the tank and let it dry out a bit.
Ok so Ive cleaned all the lines and splitter it was all clean anyways,I drained the tank let it dry out,Installed a heavy duty water trap and they worked real good for a couple times and then they started actin up and sounding crappy again.I even ran them to its on button because I noticed my stock horn button was actin up and still the same problem.I really dont understand whats going on unless its the smc valve itself but i doubt it.Nobody else seems to have this problem in florida so I doubt its the moisture in the air thats doing it.Im thining I might have to have them replaced or something Im very frustrated because im tired of my horns sounding so high pitched most of the time.If anyone has anymore suggestions let me know I will try whatever it takes to get these things back to super loud!
hey
Yeah Im thinking I will have to go ahead and do that What exactly do I have to do just mail them out with a letter inside or what?
Please contact us at 1-877-209-8179 so that we may give you a RMA# to place on the package when shipping to insure it being processed correctly.
Ok will do,thank you sir!
I get the same problem every now and again. I think it is just the humidity, it never did it during the winter time, only when it has been raining down here a lot or when it is really f-ing hot out.
Yeah it didnt do it in the winter, but mine doesnt just do it sometimes it ALWAYS does it its so annoying,I just went out there and hopes that they would be ok but nope i only got one loud blast out of about 20 attempts. The water trap had a BUNCH of bubbly water in it I cannot understand why its still doing it so much even with a trap
I wouldnt mind maybe every now and again thats understandable but it NEVER sounds right it always sounds high pitched squealing sound.
Hey? Any chance we could hear them squealing? Maybe you could film them & record the sound?
ok I can do that tomorrow,i just got done reinstalling the water trap so it is ran Tank Water trap Airline so its stopping the moisture as it leaves the tank,it seemed to help but it still acting up alot.I cant figure out why i have excessive moisture but no one else does, ill post the vid in the morning.
Cool cheers dude, it will help with others to identify the same problems. I’m surprised the likes of HondaGuy aint been able to help, he’s quite knowledgable in that department!
Will look forward to the vid!
Here is a theory me and a friend came up with,I have my compressor mounted inside and he said maybe its getting real hot and the really hot air coming into the tank is creating alot of moisture inside the tank, and even with a water trap installed inline with the main airline its not catching it all and its blowing water into the horns, now this is just a theory.Ive tried everything,so he said to run my shop compressor to the airtank and fill it up and hit the horns and if it clears up then its my compressor creating excessive moisture.
