3000 watts is alot…especially if its rms…
naw its actually the peak power. but the rms is 1000watts i think.
3000 rms is a lot for a first system or even second system. Is it really going to 1 12" sub? also you will need the Big 3 (a high output alt, probably 2 or more strong batteries like kinetic, powermaster, or yellow top and have it wired with 0 gauge all around. it gets pretty expensive once you go above 1300 watts bc thats when voltage comes into play. expect to spend around $1 for every watt you are using.
well since its only 1000 you wont need an alt. you could use your original battery and go with 4 gauge wire. so that will make things cheaper
wat about if i get a 3000 watt amp, will i still need to do all that u just said?
do you have a link to the amp you are talking about
you can run different settings (ohms) on amps. the amp should say something like 1000 watts at 4 ohms or 3000 watts at 1 ohm. If you set the amp to the ohm with around 1000 watts then your fine. and dont have to upgrade much. However if you set it to the 3000 watts then you will have to. and you will also have to add probably 2 more subs. you can go over a little on rms but not 2000 over for that single pioneer. it would blow out and crack the cone
ill probably go with these subs

what if i get the 3000 watt amp and 2 of those pioneer subs, and i put lets say 1200watts to each sub, will i still have to do alot of upgrading???
ive always been a fan of Alpine and JL Audio equipment
those subs are only 600 watts rms @ 4ohms a piece and the pyle 2210 (1800 watt) amp is only 120W x2 @4 ohms http://www.pyleaudio.com/manuals/PLA2200-2210-2220-4200.pdf and the 2230 (3000 watt) amp is only 200 watt x2 @ 4ohms rms http://www.pyleaudio.com/manuals/PYLEChopperamps.pdf totally underpowering those subs just remember if it says pyle it will prolly end up in a pyle of junk
p.s. stick with name brand audio… and stay away from the low grade sony subs
go to a car stereo dealer not circuit city or best buy
buying car audio from circuit city would be like me buying horns from seige engenering…
look at sonicelectronix.com their prices are good and i have bought from them before. how much do you want to spend? what type of music do you listen to? and do you want a sq system or one more for spl?
I have 2400 watts RMS divided into 2 FI Q 12’s…monster boom.
lol i bet. i have 1200 watts to 2 type Rs. sealed box and still big boom. not as big though lol
what amp do u have?
2 ma audio monoblock 1200’s one on each 12 and I have a chambered box. it is hi density fiberboard too, but i need to build a MDF box.
HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH??? lol man yall confusing me with these terms lol. but yeah ive been a big fan of train horns and bass but i never really went into detail but now little by little im learning. thanx 2 yall. i was looking at sonicelectronix.com, their prices are good but damn the shipping is so expensive cuz remember i live on the bottom east coast and their located on the west coast. wat they dont charge me on the products they rape me in the shipping. but yeah definitly they got good prices. but is the quality good?
in other words your 3000 watt amp is only 200 wats per speaker
